I saw this towel a while back while cruising Pinterest Craft&DIY, my apology to the original inventor I don't remember her blog link, and couldn't find it again.
Anyway, the image just popped back in my head while I was trying to cleanup my scrap fabrics. I could use up my scraps -Yea.
You need
- Kitchen towel hand towel or dishtowel.
- Fabric for decoration i use cotton from my scraps.
To do
- Cut fabric to 6.5*6.5 inch
- Fold in wrong side together 0.25 inch on all 4 sides and press. You will now have 6*6 inch square
- Put fabric and kitchen towel together (wrong side in) on one corner of kitchen towel.
- Sew top-stitch on all 4 sides on fabric.
- Mark spot for the hole.
- I used my button foot - set to the longest button hole and then very short/close zigzag in the corner.
- Open hole by my buddy - seam ripper.
- Then hang it up and admire my work! haha -So QUICK and EASY
This can be great handmade Christmas present, so easy to make. You can use fabric by seasons, theme and/or holiday to decorate your kitchen giving your house some holiday spirits.
